The 4-day working week as a response to the demographic crisis

Bulgaria again lags behind the global trends

The global experiment to introduce a 4-day working week aims to reduce working hours by helping businesses, individuals and governments work towards a future where productivity is prioritised over working hours and work-life balance can be improved without sacrificing business performance.Among the most striking of these is the statistic showing the improvement in the demographic indicator of fertility in the periods when countries introduce the pilot projects. The studies, which have so far been conducted mainly by economists and sociologists, are still in their infancy. Trials have shown increases in worker well-being and satisfaction, as well as improvements in staff retention and recruitment, with most companies trialling a four-day working week opting to continue with this model.
