А life in harmony with the deepest aspirations of man
My reading of the main message from Milan Design Week is: back to nature along with the technologies of tomorrow.
The work of designers resembles a dance between a street dancer and the queen of the ball. Nothing particularly out of this world, but a lot of extravagance and inspiration. Even to the demonstration of their different auras. The largest interior and product design exhibition in the world this year was so multi-faceted in nature.
One of the trends and synchronicities was the return of the signature designs of the iconic Charlotte Perriand. Two of the largest interior studios, St. Laurent and Louis Vuitton, have taken inspiration from her. The French architect and designer (1903-1999) was convinced that better design helps create a better society. She said that “The extension of the art of habitation is the art of life – a life in harmony with the deepest aspirations of man and his accepted or invented environment.”
