Democracy is measured by the independence of the media and pluralism
The Trump administration’s attempts to control free speech and seize it are frightening. This brings me back to the book by Bob Woodward, whose title comes from a phrase by the American President: “The real power is – I don’t even want to use the word… FEAR”, uttered on 31 March 2016.
The thousands of unemployed produced by the “optimisation of government” in the space of two months by harsh cutter Musk under Trump’s lenient gaze are the first victims, but also fighters. I daren’t even think about threatened American students – the whole wave of protests in Europe is led by them. There is no way for the abuse of the concept of “freedom of speech” to pass unnoticed. It is typical Trump style.
And freedom of speech deserves to find its space, dignity, true meaning and apostles again.
