Powering Global Cleantech Collaborations

India has already surpassed 200 GW of renewable energy capacity, with an ambitious national target of reaching 500 GW by 2030. In FY2025 alone, nearly 24 GW of solar capacity was added, a 58.5% increase year-on-year. This growth is not just domestic; Indian investors are backing international clean energy ventures, such as a new solar and battery storage project in Bulgaria, indicating India’s rising influence as both a solution provider and strategic investor.

The Government of India recently increased the target for battery energy storage systems (BESS) under the Viability Gap Funding scheme to 13.2 GWh, covering up to 40% of capital expenditure.
