How a competition between two candidates was passed off as a competition with one
Imagine my surprise when on 28.04.2025 I received a response from the Ministry of Education and Science, signed on behalf of Academician Nikolay Vitanov, Deputy-Minister of Education and Science, which states that my appeal is not admissible for consideration, because the Minister has the right to exercise control only during the conduct of the competition (“exercises control over open and open competitions for the acquisition of a scientific degree”), and the competition according to the Ministry of Education and Science has already ended. Obviously, for the Ministry, the notification of a fake competition for an associate professor is a minor and insignificant claim.
In this sense, I, as the person concerned, have no right to complain or to indicate that a competition to which I am candidate is passed off as a competition with one candidate, that my documents were not submitted to the first academic jury, they were falsified and not submitted in their authentic form to the second academic jury and since by law no one is obliged to notify me of the deadlines for the competition – I remain without the right to legal protection, and somewhere in Bulgaria there is an associate professor who participated in a competition with one candidate…, in which, however, there are two candidates.
