Our Brains at War

Neurology of Conflict and Brain Rescue

The editorial team of NewDay.BG decided to pay special attention to the topic of collective mental health of the Bulgarian society on the 29th of every month.

In order to draw attention to the seriousness of the problem, we created an event where every 29th we take a day off from social media. The text we used to announce the initiative, “Clockwork Keyboards”, was written by Veselina Sedlarska and can be read here. The first text in the 2025 series, ‘Collective Mental Health’ Day, is available here and the third, ‘Rising toll of mental health problems among youth in Europe’, here.

Today we turn our attention to the neurological changes that occur in the brain during wartime and how to become aware of them to take better care of yourself.
