A crime story with some of my thoughts
The title of the text refers to the eponymous investigation of the Anti-Corruption Fund in Bulgaria. The credit for the revelations goes to the civic movement “Boets”, and for the widespread popularisation of the topic to the investigative journalism platform BIRD.
We have written our own retelling of the situation based on their media publications to make sure that we remember this story and remember to ask whether the police officers Dimitar Panitsa, Valentin Mandradjiev, Ivan Kukov, Ivan Pochileev, Georgi Dimitrov, Tsviatko Gerov, Plamen Gilin, Yordan Runtev are well, alive and well.
