The eHealth mobile app is the domestic digital health consultant for all families in the country
You wake up in the morning and receive a notification on your phone: “Good morning, Maria, today is the day for your annual health check-up.” Or “Good morning, Peter, November is World Prostate Cancer Month, you can sign up for a free exam here, here or here (tailored to your location)“. If your status is “normal”, i.e. you are a healthy consumer who needs preventive care and advice, you can open your “eHealth” application, where all your electronic referrals, hospitalisations, examinations, prescriptions, information are located, and enter the “Long-term care” panel. It has specific tips for your health, tailored to your demographic and socio-economic group. You take a quick look at them before you leave the house and remind yourself to plan a date for a flu vaccination, take immune-stimulants and vitamins before the winter season starts, as well as a cold allergy cream.
This is not a story from the future, but the world’s first national public digital healthcare.
