On the same planet, at the same time, at the same moment, artificial intelligence and The Bulgarian Posts exist.
There is no other place that is at the same time a museum, a post office, a social aggregate, a sitting room, a place where the sound of rhythmic double tapping of a stamp (first on the pad, then on the paper), a pension payment counter, etc. can still be heard from morning till dark.
-“What are you in for?” asks the crisp voice of the “security guard” sitting in a chair from the last century to anyone who dares to enter this maze of stale old-fashioned services.
-“I’m here to use one of the 74 new ‘administrative services’ that your press office has announced will be available in 132 post offices,” I say.
The guard freezes in stupor and whispers, “We don’t know anything.”
