Religious indoctrination has no place in Bulgarian schools
The introduction of religious education will create artificial divisions between students, instil a sense of ‘right’ and ‘wrong’ beliefs and increase tensions in society.
Under the guise of ‘spiritual values’, an attempt is in fact being made to impose one particular religion as the obligatory norm, and to marginalise all those who do not fit this model, to declare them different, even enemies of society. This is nothing less than the creation of a system that will turn schools into mechanisms for division rather than knowledge and progress.
This is not just injustice. It is a toxic model that will shackle the entire nation’s future in the past.
