The stabilising role of Egypt in a region of conflict

Next year Bulgaria will celebrate 100 years of diplomatic relations with Egypt

For several years, Egypt has been investing heavily in modernisation.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat have all emphasised digital transformation, artificial intelligence, investment in telecommunications and youth training. Their aim is to consolidate Egypt’s leading position in global technology. Egypt’s new digitisation strategy is similar to that of India and aims to develop the outsourcing industry and encourage global corporations to expand their operations in Egypt.

The President expressed a desire to personally monitor efforts to improve coverage services and the quality of communications and the Internet in order to ensure that the Egyptian people’s needs for high-quality and more efficient services are met.
